“Reading Family”

On March 29, 2024, the Novomarinovskaya Rural Library completed the Week of Children’s and Youth Books with a fun competition program “Reading Family”, among families from among the library’s readers. The event was held with the aim of supporting and popularizing family reading, involving parents in nurturing the reading culture of the younger generation.
Three families took part in the competition. Mothers competed with their children. Each family represented a separate team. The competition was evaluated by a jury. The participants were asked to go through several rather difficult tests — answer the questions of the “Fairytale Quiz”, the teams participated in the “Poetic” competitions “Guess the Melody”, “Past-Present”, “Lost and Found”, etc. When summing up the results, the jury was unanimous in their opinion: all family teams completed the proposed tasks with honor. Families are curious, active, erudite and in love with books. Each family received a certificate and, of course, gifts.
