15/10/2024 The Marinovskaya rural children’s library prepared the information «Pages of History» for the 85th anniversary of the Akmola region.
Objective: to expand students’ knowledge about the history of the region,
to cultivate a sense of love and respect for their native land, to form feelings of pride in their homeland.
The Akmola region is located in the north of the central part of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the Kazakh Uplands (Saryarka) and the Teniz Plain. It was formed on October 14, 1939. The region includes 2 cities of regional significance — Kokshetau and Stepnogorsk. The modern Akmola region is one of the largest grain-growing regions, where a quarter of the republican volume of high-quality food wheat is produced.
