“One Country, One Book”

16/02/2024 The Central Regional Children’s Library held the campaign “One Country, One Book”. In 2024, as part of the republican campaign “One Country, One Book,” works by the outstanding Kazakh writer, classic of children’s literature Berdibek Idrisovich Sokpakbayev, will be offered for reading. The 100th anniversary of Berdibek Sokpakbayev was included in the UNESCO calendar of memorable dates. The writer’s works were translated into many languages of the peoples of the USSR and abroad. The writer became famous for his story “My Name is Kozha.” There is an exhibition in the children’s library. Booklets have been prepared. Goal: to introduce children to the biography and work of the famous writer; expand ideas about Kazakh literature and its history; arouse interest in domestic works.
