“What do we know about Kalzha”

On 02/02/2024, the Timashevsk rural library held a conversation for all groups of readers on the topic “What do we know about Kalzha” (on the revival of the customs and traditions of the Kazakh people).
Our readers with mothers and grandmothers were invited to the event.
Librarian; spoke about the forgotten rituals and traditions of our people.
The elders in the family gave the order: to slaughter the ram — “Kalzha”, since fresh meat and broth after childbirth quickly strengthen the body of the young mother.
Kalzha is a ritual food given primarily to a woman in labor on the first day of childbirth.
This is caring for the woman in labor and a sign of respect and attention.
This holiday is still held today, most often on the 40th day after the birth of a child. For this celebration, the mother of the woman in labor brings a ram, kalta or korzhyn with dishes and gifts.
Target; to form knowledge about Kazakh rituals and traditions, to give the idea that ancient customs, rituals and traditions reflect the spiritual life of the people.
