Neke Qiyar is a wedding ceremony. To perform the ceremony, a mullah is invited, and a bowl of water covered with a scarf is placed in front of him. Relatives and friends of the bride and groom gather. The mullah reads prayers, then in the presence of witnesses they ask about the consent of the young man and woman to enter into marriage.
