“We remember the dead, we honor the living”

In the Timashevskaya rural library, a historical hour was held for all groups of readers on the theme “We remember the dead, we honor the living,” and a book exhibition was also organized.
Librarian: This day is celebrated by all the peoples of the world as a great holiday — the Day of Victory over the Nazi invaders.
On May 9, 1945, Soviet soldiers stormed Berlin, the center of Hitler’s Germany, and victoriously ended the bloodiest war in human history. Kazakh soldiers and home front workers made their contribution to this victory. 479 Kazakhstanis were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. 410 thousand Kazakhstanis died in the battles of World War II. The victory came at too high a price. That is why it is so important to protect the most valuable thing on Earth — peace.
Goal: To foster a sense of patriotism and pride in one’s homeland.
