“There was such a thing, guys”

On 05/04/2024, in the Pokrovskaya rural library, for the 70th anniversary of the Virgin Lands, a video clip was prepared “There was such a thing, guys” (local history).
Goal: to evaluate the contribution of the virgin lands in the development of new lands.
The video clip provides information about virgin lands, about people who made an invaluable contribution to the development of virgin and fallow lands. Documents from those years and participants in the events tell not only about heroic everyday life, but also the difficulties that the virgin lands encountered at first. The development of virgin lands is a great feat of the older generation, representatives of many fraternal nations. The library has organized a book exhibition “Hello, Virgin Land!”
