«The World of Abai»

On August 10, 2023, a literary lounge «The World of Abai» was held in the Central District Library for the Day of Abai.
Purpose: to acquaint readers with the work of Abai Kunanbayev, to instill interest in his works and to teach them to treat knowledge, science responsibly, to popularize literary heritage.
Librarians B. Omarova and Z. Alshinova told about the life and work of the great genius of the Kazakh people Abai.
The local poet of the district A. Kurakbayev and the historian of our city, teacher S. Abenova, were invited to the events.
Children from secondary school No. 3,7,8, the circle «Artistic word» and the students of «DYuTs» expressively read poems about Abai.
The book exhibition «The Heritage of the Great Abai», an installation of books and a corner in the national style were decorated. Young singers of our city Nurtaza Dias and Esmagulova Dariga performed Abai’s songs.
At the end of the event, the head of the Department of Internal Policy, Culture, Language Development and Sports of the Atbasar district M.Ermekbayeva and the director of the KSU «CBS» Zh. Kozhakhmetov thanked the participants and awarded letters of thanks.
