“The world is kinder and brighter with books”

On March 26, 2024, the Poltava Rural Library, as part of the Week of Children’s and Youth Books, held a literary matinee “The world is kinder and brighter with books.”
The purpose of the event: to instill in children a love of children’s literature, to cultivate a caring, reverent attitude towards books.
An excursion to the library was organized for children of primary school age, where they talked about what a library is, how to use a subscription, what a reading room is for, what is in the library and how to communicate with a book.
A book exhibition with new releases was organized for children, and forms were opened for new readers.
All children left the event with the books they had chosen.
