The Invisible Side of Violence: What is Digital Violence

On December 1, 2025, a frank discussion on «The Invisible Side of Violence: What is Digital Violence» was held at the Sepeyevka Rural Library.
This problem is becoming increasingly widespread in a variety of contexts.
This form of violence is gaining momentum due to weak legal regulation in this area and the lack of legal recognition of this type of aggression.
Methods for combating this include legislative measures, such as the development and enforcement of laws, holding perpetrators accountable, seeking support (e.g., at crisis centers), and blocking abusers.
Digital violence seriously harms the health, safety, and well-being of survivors. It often extends beyond the online space, taking the form of surveillance, stalking, physical violence, and even femicide. We must educate the public about this form of violence and improve digital literacy.
