“The Girl Who Became a Legend”
The Central Children’s Library held a round table “The Girl Who Became a Legend” dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the birth of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova for 2nd grade students of school No. 2. The purpose of the event: to instill in students patriotism, respect for the memory of the people, a sense of pride in their Motherland, which defeated fascism; expand students’ knowledge about Aliya Moldagulova. The librarian told the heroic biography of Aliya Moldagulova, about young girls who gave their lives for our bright future. The guys read poems, showed the skit “Let’s Help Win the War,” answered questions on the topic, organized slides about A. Moldagulova, a video, and organized a book exhibition “Women’s Faces of Victory.” At the end of the event, the children were introduced to the “One Country, One Book” campaign dedicated to the famous children’s writer Berdybek Sokpakbayev, and booklets were distributed.
