The Fate and Legacy of Chokan Valikhanov

On November 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM, the Yesengeldy Rural Library held a literary hour, «The Fate and Legacy of Chokan Valikhanov,» to commemorate the 190th anniversary of Shokan Valikhanov’s birth.
During the event, readers learned about the life and work of the great Kazakh scholar, traveler, and ethnographer Shokan Valikhanov. They learned about his literary and scientific achievements, as well as the influence he had on the development of Kazakh literature, culture, and science.
