Sundet toy

A discussion/exchange of opinions, revival of customs and traditions of the Kazakh people on the topic «Sundet toy» was held for all groups of readers in the Timashevskaya rural library.
During the events, the librarian acquainted readers with the customs and traditions of our people.
The circumcision ceremony is the duty of every Muslim.
The circumcision ceremony is performed on a boy aged 3-7.
Conducting sundet is considered the duty of parents.
On this occasion, a big holiday is organized — Sundet toy.
A ritual (ashamai) is performed — the boy is seated astride a horse, on a special children’s saddle ashamai, with wishes for a long and happy life.
The purpose of the events: revival of the good traditions of our people, among children, adolescents, instilling love for national traditions and customs.
