«Semipalatinsk Test Site: Memory and Pain»

On August 6, 2024, the Pokrovskaya rural library held an information and educational hour «Semipalatinsk Test Site: Memory and Pain» (environmental education) on the Day of Closing of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site.
Objective: to provide those present with information about the nuclear test conducted in the Semipalatinsk region and its consequences.
During the event, information was given about the consequences of the use of nuclear weapons, it was noted that the rejection of nuclear weapons and nuclear tests is important for any country in order to protect nature and the fate of humanity in the future. A book exhibition «Semipalatinsk Polygons: Better Future» was prepared for the event.
