“Our native land, we are proud of you!”

On June 28, 2024, in the Sochi Rural Library, as part of events on patriotic education and local history, a local history evening “Our native land, we are proud of you!” was held. The goal is to reveal the concept of virgin land, virgin land, instilling a caring attitude towards bread and the work of grain growers, to show the contribution of participants in the development of virgin and fallow lands to the development and prosperity of our Motherland. The librarian spoke about the work of grain growers, about the development of virgin lands, about fellow countrymen who lived in the first virgin lands. Poems, proverbs and sayings about bread were read, a slide presentation “Pages of History” was presented, which gave a panoramic view of this event, participants learned many interesting facts about the historical past of the village, its origin and name, the contribution of people to the development of virgin lands, telling about feat of the virgin lands. About how they arranged life in a new place, how they found a new small homeland here, about what virgin lands gave to the country.
