“On the tourist attractions of China”

During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to China, 2024 was declared: “The Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China.” In this regard, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented the Concept for the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism. The opening of the Year of Tourism is scheduled for the end of March 2024. The head of state emphasized the positive dynamics of the development of Kazakh-Chinese relations, which meet the level of an eternal comprehensive strategic partnership.

On 01/02/2024, a book exhibition “On the tourist attractions of China” was organized in the Novoselskaya rural library for the Year of Kazakh Tourism in China. Also on this day, the library was visited by Nelli Vasilievna Koroleva, who is a Chinese language teacher and works in one of the schools in St. Petersburg. As part of her volunteer activities, she holds meetings with people interested in China and Chinese culture. Just such a meeting took place in our library for all groups of readers, who got acquainted with a presentation about the peculiarities of Chinese culture, the history of the appearance of Chinese characters, and learned to write some characters. In the second part of the meeting, we listened to a story about the Lotus flower, since this flower is associated with Chinese culture, and enjoyed watching the cartoon “The Tale of the Lotus.” In conclusion, each of those present independently made a lotus flower out of paper. This event was held in a warm, friendly atmosphere, library readers learned a lot of interesting things about China and its culture, and the library itself was donated books “The Tale of the Lotus.”
Goal: to form an idea of China as one of the priority tourist markets and partners for Kazakhstan, to talk about deep historical ties along the Great Silk Road, to broaden the horizons of library readers.
