“Fates Remained in History”

On May 30, 2024, a historical lesson “Fates Remained in History” was held at the Sochi Rural Library, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression. The goal is to cultivate empathy and compassion for the grief and pain caused to people as a result of repression, and to generate relevant information on this topic. During the event, the librarian spoke about writers, poets and innocent victims of political repression, about the camps “Gulag”, “Karlag”, “Steplag”, “Algeria” and about the Alashorda movement. A thematic exhibition and demonstration of video stories was organized.
