“Dangerous extremes of parental love”

On May 13, 2024, an hour of communication with parents was held in the Sepeevskaya rural library “Dangerous extremes of parental love.” Parental love must protect itself from two dangerous extremes: “blind self-sacrifice” and from “excessive guardianship.” In the first case, the system of moral values is confused in the child’s mind, egocentrism in relation to other people and consumerism in relation to parents are generated.
The development of personality depends on the amount of parental love received more than on anything else, because “parental love gives children a sense of security, support in life, makes them stronger and more confident. If a child is loved in childhood, he himself will be able to love.” The purpose of the event: to consider the positive and negative aspects of the educational influence of parents on the child, to focus on the positive aspects of showing love for children.
