Customs and Traditions of Kazakhstan on the Pages of Books

On August 15, 2025, the Pokrovskaya rural library hosted an educational library quest “Customs and Traditions of Kazakhstan on the Pages of Books”, dedicated to the preservation and popularization of national culture.
Opening the event, the librarian spoke about the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, presenting the diversity of their customs and rituals. The guests were shown a meaningful presentation “Kazakh Ulttyk Salt-Dasturleri. Traditions and Customs of the Kazakh People”. During the event, participants got acquainted with valuable publications: “Kazak halkynyn salt-dasturleri”, “Kazak halkynyn ulttyk kiimderi”, “Kazak halkynyn turmysy men madenieti”, “Kazakhtyn darkan dastarkany” and other books dedicated to national culture.
During the quiz “Do you know the traditions and rituals of the Kazakh people?” The children demonstrated excellent knowledge, confidently answering questions and talking about such customs as «Suyinshi», «Konakasy», «Kudalyk», «Kyz uzatu», «Kyrkynan shygaru», «Tusau keser» and others. At the end of the event, it was noted that the customs and traditions of the Kazakh people are a mirror of spiritual life, historical memory and cultural wealth of the nation.
