“Berdibek Sokpakbaev is my favorite writer”
A flash mob “Berdibek Sokpakbaev is my favorite writer” was held at the Central Regional Children’s Library with students from school camp No. 1. Berdibek Sokpakbaev is a Kazakh children’s writer, poet, screenwriter. B. Sokpakbaev became famous for the story “My name is Kozha”, which was published by the publishing house “Children’s Literature”, and then was translated from Russian into 68 languages of the world. The feature film “My name is Kozha,” based on the script by B. Sokpakbaev in 1967, was awarded a prize at the Cannes International Film Festival. The purpose of the event is to introduce students to the life and work of the classic, to develop an interest in reading, and to broaden their horizons. A book exhibition was organized and booklets were distributed.
