“A soldier of war does not choose”

On February 15, 2024, the Novoselskaya Rural Library held a day of remembrance “A soldier of war does not choose.” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.
The librarian spoke about the events of the Afghan War in the period from 1979 to 1989, about how military personnel, faithful to the oath, at the cost of their lives, honestly and selflessly fulfilled their international duty, and how on February 15, 1989, exactly 35 years old, the last Soviet soldier as part of a limited contingent of Soviet troops left the territory of Afghanistan.
Goal: patriotic education, preservation of historical memory, formation of respect for internationalist soldiers.
