Keeper of History and Time

On November 18, 2025, at 4:30 PM, the Timashevskaya Rural Library held a literary evening for all reader groups dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Shokan Ualikhanov, titled «Keeper of History and Time.»
The librarian spoke about Shokan Ualikhanov’s life and expeditions.
Shokan Ualikhanov became the first talented Kazakh geographer in his short life, making a significant contribution to geography.
The goal of our event was to broaden students’ horizons and introduce them to Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage through the life and work of the outstanding Kazakh scholar and educator Shokan Ualikhanov.
