I am a citizen of my country

On October 28, 2025, the Sepeyevskaya rural library commissioned a historical portrait, «I am a citizen of my country,» to commemorate Mirzhakyp Dulatov’s 140th birthday.
He was a Kazakh poet, writer, publicist, playwright, and one of the leaders of the Alash movement.
In 1910, he wrote the novel «Bakytsyz Zhamal,» considered one of the first in the Kazakh language, which illuminates the status of women in pre-revolutionary society.
Readers will be presented with works, literary studies, and materials about his life and work, including his role in the national liberation movement and the Alash-Orda government.
