«The Greatness and Courage of a writer and a man»

On 10.01.2023, the Marinovskaya Rural Children’s Library, under the special project «Great Names of the Great Steppe», held a literary portrait «The Greatness and Courage of a writer and a man» for the birthday of Ilyas Yesenberlin.
This year, on January 10, a wonderful Kazakh writer, our countryman Ilyas Yesenberlin turned 108 years old from the day of his birth. He is not only the largest representative of Kazakh literature, but also a bright personality who occupies a worthy place in the history of the Kazakh people. Among Kazakh writers, he was perhaps the first to devote his pen to the complex and acute topic of the struggle of the Kazakh people for national independence and statehood. The central place in his work is occupied by the famous trilogy «Nomads». His novels «Dangerous Crossing», «Lovers», «Golden Bird», «Fight», «Cover with your Shield», «Golden Horses Wake Up», «Mangistau Front» also found recognition among readers. The last years of his life were marked by another outstanding creative achievement — the creation of another brilliant historical trilogy «The Golden Horde», which worthily crowned his many years of writing. Probably, nowadays you will not meet a person who is more or less familiar with Kazakh literature, who would not read the works of I. Yesenberlin.
