«Features of the National Game»

On October 9, 2024, a sports minute «Features of the National Game» was held in the Marinovskiy rural children’s library as part of the V World Nomad Games.
Objective: revival and preservation of the culture of nomadic peoples of the world, popularization of traditional nomadic sports.
Librarians told about the history of the World Games, initiated by the President of Kyrgyzstan A.Sh. Atambayev. The first World Nomad Games were held in 2012 in Kyrgyzstan in the city of Cholpon-Ata. The children were well informed about the V World Games, which were held this year in Kazakhstan, in the city of Astana. The children themselves listed all the sports that were included in the program of the games. The list of these games included a board, ancient, Kazakh game «Togyz Kumalak», which they play themselves. The children demonstrated their knowledge of this game.
