“The Magic Sound of Dombra”

04.07.2024 An information and musical hour “The Magic Sound of Dombra” was held in the Novoselskaya Rural Library, dedicated to the National Dombra Day, which is celebrated in Kazakhstan annually on the first Sunday of July since 2018. Those present got acquainted with the myths and legends about dombra, listened to how dombra sounds, and shared their knowledge about dombra. Dombra is one of the favorite musical instruments of the Kazakh people. Dombra knows how to cry and have fun, people take dombra with them on the road, dombra helps on the way, they compete in singing to the sounds of dombra, and girls dance to its magical sounds. Goal: to form the cognitive interest of library readers in national musical instruments, in Kazakh folk art and customs, to cultivate love and respect for traditions, and the revival of national culture.
