“In the sound of dombra — the history of the earth”

03/07/2024 The Marinovskaya rural children’s library held a musical lounge “In the sound of dombra — the history of the earth” (for the day of dombra). Goal: to cultivate a sense of patriotism, increase interest in the national instrument, and the desire to learn how to play it. This unusual and musical holiday — National Dombra Day — has been celebrated on the first Sunday of July in Kazakhstan since 2018. Everyone immediately fell in love with it — both children and adults, and this is no coincidence, because the dombra is a symbol of musical culture from the nomads of antiquity to the present day. For the Kazakh people, dombra has a special historical value. The custom of having a dombra at home, giving it a place of honor, has survived to this day. A book exhibition was prepared for the event.
