“Tragic moments of our history”

In the Timashevskaya rural library, a historical hour dedicated to the Day of Political Repression on the theme “Tragic moments of our history” was held for all groups of readers, and a book exhibition was also organized.
May 31st is the Day of Remembrance of one of the most tragic pages in the history of Kazakhstan — mass political repression and famine, which led to the death of millions of people.
With the acquisition of Independence, steps were taken at the state level to preserve the memory of the victims of this tragedy.
Librarian: spoke about the tragic deaths of our most prominent representatives of science and culture, competent politicians, government and public figures who are the exponents of the aspirations of the Kazakh people. Akhmet Baitursynuly, Alikhan Bukeikhan, Turar Ryskulov, Beimbet Mailin, Magzhan Zhumabaev, Abdulla Rozybakiev, Ilyas Zhansugurov, Saken Seifullin and many others.
All of them, having survived interrogations and bullying in dungeons, were shot in the prime of life and creativity.
It cannot be rewritten or changed.
It only needs to be studied, remembered, researched and told to future generations. So that they do not repeat the mistakes of the past.
Goal: to remember and honor the memory of the innocent victims of the Stalinist genocide.
