“Great Women of Kazakhstan”

On May 24, 2024, the rural library of Akan Kurmanov held a poetry hour “Great Women of Kazakhstan” dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Sholpan Imanbaeva. Purpose: to acquaint readers with the biography and work of the poetess. The librarian told those present about the first Kazakh Soviet poetess, the herald of the poorest segments of the population, Sholpan Imanbaeva, who, after studying educational courses, worked as a teacher in the city children’s commune and often spoke with her poems to students of women’s courses.
