“Activist of the Alash Movement”
On April 19, 2024, in the Sepeevsky rural library, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Shaimerden Kosshigulov, an information dossier “Activist of the Alash Movement” was compiled. Prominent social and political figures from the Akmola region, along with others, stood at the origins of the Alash movement. The study of the history of the Alash movement, the life and work of its leaders has become one of the priority areas of modern historical science in Kazakhstan. One of these individuals is the leader of the “Alash” movement, a native of the Akola region: Shaimerden Koshygulov. He was only 32 years old when he plunged into the turbulent political life of the capital of the Russian Empire. He takes an active part in it; at his own expense he publishes the Serke supplement to the Ulfat newspaper. Goal: to talk about the life and work of Sh. Kosshigulov, the formation of a sense of pride within the framework of local history education.
