«Nauryz — a holiday of peace and goodness»

The Kazakh people honor their culture and teach their children national traditions. On the eve of the Nauryz holiday, the Central District Children’s Library held a traditional performance and national games «Nauryz — a holiday of peace and goodness» for students of school 7.

The presenters introduced the children to the history of the Nauryz holiday. Games and quizzes on knowledge of the traditions and rituals of the Kazakh people were held for invited guests. A fascinating mini-play “How Aldar Kose outwitted the greedy boy” was shown. All participants gave each other warm wishes for goodness, peace, health and prosperity. The event ended with the traditional “Shashu”.

The goals of the event are to create a festive mood, cultivate patriotism, love for the Motherland, interethnic unity and harmony of the peoples of Kazakhstan, tolerance; introduce the customs and traditions of the Kazakh people.
