“The Afghan War, your bitter trace remains forever”
15/02/2024 The Marinovsky rural children’s library together with the Marinovsky Museum of History and Local Lore, the rural model library and the House of Culture held an evening meeting “The Afghan War, your bitter trace remains forever” (to mark the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan).
The purpose of the event: to cultivate a sense of patriotism in the younger generation, to instill love for the Motherland, respect for veterans of the Afghan war, and to preserve the memory of fallen internationalist soldiers.
The internationalist soldiers of our village, Yu.V. Dementyev and F.D. Mekebaev, were invited to the event. guests and students of Kazakh and Russian schools. The presenters-librarians told the guests about the history of the Afghan war and its heroes. The floor for congratulations was given to the Chairman of the Veterans Council A.B. Akhmetov, and the director of the Kazakh secondary school Berden K.K.
A concert was organized, school students showed the time standards for disassembling and assembling a machine gun and putting on OZK uniforms. The final word was given to the Afghan soldiers. The event ended with tea. A book exhibition was organized in the library.
