“We will remember by name…”
On February 9, the central regional children’s library organized an exhibition-chronicle “We will remember by name…” / for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Kazakh Soviet composer, People’s Artist of the USSR Sydyk Mukhamedzhanov. SYDYK MUKHAMEJANOV — composer, Honored Artist and People’s Artist of the KazSSR, State Prize laureate. Graduated from the Almaty State Conservatory named after. Kurmangazy in the composition class of Professor Evgeniy Brusilovsky. Sydyk Mukhamedzhanov owns major choral and vocal-symphonic works, poems and suites, chamber works, songs, music for plays and films. A significant phenomenon of musical creativity was the first in the musical history of Kazakhstan — the comic opera “Aisulu”, the oratorio “Voice of the Ages”. Whatever genre Mukhamedzhanov worked in, his constant artistic principles remained a close connection with folklore and reliance on the traditions of Kazakh folk music.
